I switched from a 904 to a 727. the tailshaft brackets for the 904 don't look like they'll work.
Are they different for the 727?

The holes in the tailhousing are in the same place for the trans mount for both trannies. Should be a bolt in swap. What kind of problem does it look like? John

I have two brackets left over.....Might be engine to trany brackets? They were on the 904 removed 10 years ago and I can't find them in the service or parts manuals. I am sure they need to go on there. *sigh*
The brackets are about 8 to 10 inches long and have a hole at either end.

Those are engine to bell housing brackets and you can survive without them.

That sounds like the brackets that run from the holes in the lower sides of the block, down to the 2 7/16" bolt holes at the bottom of the bellhousing. They are different between 727 and 904. Dennis
