New Style Trans Pan Gasket

Went to the dealer today to price a replacement pan for a 727. Way too much $$ but I did leave with what they are using these days for pan gaskets.

It's steel reinforced with twin beads of soft O-ring material molded right in. The bolt holes also have about 3/16" steel slug surrounds which are there to prevent over tightening I guess.

Has anyone had any success with these or should I just stick with cork and sealer?

THE NEW STYLE GASKIT IS NICE , BECARFULL NOT TO STRIP THE HOLES OUT.( SEEN IT DONE AT THE DEALER ) IF YOU LOOK AT THE GASKET IT IS THICKER THAT THE CORK GASKET. I HAVE BEEN USEING THE NEW STYLE GASGET AND HAVE GOOD LUCK WITH THEM. YOU CAN RE-USE THE NEW STYLE MANY TIMES.BRAND X HAS BEEN USING THIS STYLE GASKET FOR MANY YEARS NOW.

The new gasket is # 2464324AC and is nylon over steel with a molded in double silicone sealing bead, very nice. List $9.60
