727 Front band apply servo ?

Rebuiling a 727 and went to put the front band servo in and acording to my service manual their are 2 springs on it. One long skinny one and a slightly shorter fat one. Well all I seem to have that came out of it is the long skinny one, were their different versions of this? Or am I missing some thing?

Yes, the hemi transmissions, and some 440HP transmissions only had the inner spring in them. Of course, if someone has installed a shift kit, then the outer spring would have been removed. Dennis

Thanks for the reply, the tranny is out of a truck originally, so maybe it only had one spring. Either way I am putting a manual valve body in it, so it sounds like I only want the one spring anyway.

Yep, if it's a Cheetah valve body, you'll only need the inner one anyway! Dennis
