ballast resistor resistance

I need to get a new ballast resistor for my 70 Dart with the Mopar Electronic Ignition Kit. I know the resistance is different from the points system, but I can not remember or find the correct specification for it.

I have been searching online for it but have only come up with a part number, but no spec.

=================================

1 ohm for a stock elec system, .5 for the MP kit, and .25 for the gold box system.

When I talked with some guy from Accel or MSD or some place like that he said with the MP electronic kit and the orange box you want at least 0.50 ohms. He said anything between 0.5 and 1.0 ohms would be just fine. I don't know if that's true or not, but that's what I was told. It seems to work, anyways.

I run a Chrome box with the .25 ohm resistor and an MSD Blaster 2, I noticed a big improvement above about 4800 over the .5 ohm with this coil. Been running it for 10 years w/o problems but I do carry a spare box and resistor in the glove box.
