I rebuilt a K-member for a 71 rr a few years back. but now I have a 72 rr and want to know if the rebuilt k-member will fit in the 72. I heard some where that they were not interchangeable.

V-8, /6 are different, but '71 should fit a '72.

70-72 B-body V8 K-frames are the same,
318-340-383-400-440 use the same rubber motor
mount insulators, only the steel brackets that
bolt to the engine block are different. Some
440+6 cars had an added skid plate on the bottom.K-frames for B-bodies goes like this
1962,1963-1965,1966-1967,1968-69,1970-1972.
Yep 5 k-frames for V8 wedge engines. All
will bolt in, however 62s used a different adapter setup for the mounts,63-65 used a
flat square mount and stubby steel brackets,
66-72 used the same rubber motor mount insulators and for big block engines the same 2 steel brackets. Idler arms are 1962-1967,68-72.
