Power steering Rebuild

Keith G sent these pages on the rebuild of the mopar power steering boxes.

Thanks Mopar Action

I've been tracking down seals for a '69 Road Runner manual steering box with only modest success. I understand the input shaft seal is a National 7214 or CR 7412.
I haven't found the seal for the small sector shaft manual box. Anyone know the number?

OK - here we go, in no particular order.
Sector Ball Bearings: 2072060

Sector Torringtons: 2948801

Wormshaft seal (small): 4031884

Sector shaft seal (large): Chicago Rawhide 11067

Cover gasket: 2127108

All of the above are ChryCo numbers except for the CR large seal number. Any NAPA store or store that carries National or CR can get you the large seal.

Hope this helps !!!

I was at work pretending to do some stuff while thinking about my car, and I was thinking about what to do with my power steering box.
I can either: A) Get steer and gear to rebuild it, probably ~160ish I hear.

B)Reseal it for about 15 bucks?

I think I'll try B first. I was wondering if someone could give me the part numbers for the seals (can I just buy them @ NAPA or Discount if I have the part #?) and maybe some instructions. My entire front suspension, minus the centerlink + pitman arm, is in the garage so I have plenty of room to work.

The numbers my local Kragen gave me for my '74 Duster are:
PA6766257 $5.79
PA7053143 $7.49
and I sure hope they're right! I'll know this week.
